Yes, Smiles is fully insured.
Yes, we are registered and have ongoing inspections, on our latest inspection we received OUTSTANDING in all areas in January 2017.
We are open Monday-Friday 7:30am-6:30pm, 50 weeks of the year. We close the school for Bank holidays and over the Christmas period, exact dates of the closure are stated in our parents’ calendar, a copy of which is available for your collection each January, but generally our Christmas period covers 10 days.
Yes, each child is required to attend a minimum of 3 sessions per week.
Yes all members of staff are carefully selected based upon, not only their qualifications and experience, but also their caring nature towards the children. We pride ourselves on ensuring that each member of our staff continues to develop themselves in childcare through various, relevant courses, workshops and seminars.
We have an enclosed garden, fully equipped with a soft playing surface.
Government funding is accepted by the nursery. Parents/careers declaration forms will be sent to each parent to complete and return to the nursery, in the term your child is eligible for the grant. We also accept a variety of childcare vouchers.
Each parent that attends out of the structured day (9-4) will have their fingerprint scanned to gain them entry to the building. There is one entry to the building, passing the office with 2 additional doors. When a child is enrolled, the parent can be given a password allowing a guardian other than a parent pick up a child. We also have CCTV.
